Drupal 7 end of life remains a large topic in many higher ed and non-profit organizations. During BADCamp Sprint on Nov 18, 2023 community got together to code, test and release a module targeted for site builders that supports complete upgrade from Drupal 7 to Backdrop CMS - "Drupal to Backdrop Migrate (D2B)" - using WebUI.
Backdrop CMS is becoming a leading choice for custom on campus for organizations where web platform, sites.stanford.edu that is using Drupal 10 platform, does not provide enough options for flexibility in design and functionality. It is used in many organizations and schools. Some examples include

Open Source lab released a project that includes D2B module, Stanford Decanter base theme for Backdrop, and code upgrader module. This project significantly lowers barriers for migration for Stanford sites that need to migrate off Drupal 7 before End-of-life on Jan 5, 2025.
